Egyptian King Farouk sends a secret message to Hitler, expressing his hope
that Germany will "soon liberate Egypt from the British yoke."

King Peter flees Yugoslavia for Athens, and is soon followed by his
government.

German forces continue to drive south into Greece, reaching the defensive
line hinged on Mount Olympus. They make important gains in the Kleisoura
Pass.

The Tobruk garrison repels an Axis assault. Elements of the 5th Light
division penetrate the outer ring of defenses but are then halted, and
withdraw at nightfall.
