German troops enter Athens. The bombing campaign against departing British
troops continues, and a transport and two destroyers are sunk off the port
of Napulia. Another ship is set afire at the docks, blocking the escape of
1700 soldiers.

British, Dutch, and US officials meet in Singapore to draw up plans in case
of a Japanese declaration of war.

A small convoy brings much-needed supplies to Malta. The island garrison
is further bolstered by 23 Hurricanes flown from the HMS Ark Royal.

General Paulus arrives to tour Rommel's troops in North Africa. He has
been instructed to put a halt to Rommel's continuing attack, and
immediately orders that attacks against Tobruk are to cease.
