Earlier on this year there was a discussion (which I caught the end of), in comp.music, about the generation of music using various types of fractals. As part of my Honours project I am attempting to do the opposite, that is,take an established piece of music (in this case a part of one Mozart's flute sonatas) and try to find a strange attractor which fits the music. I would very much like to get some comments on this ,as I am having trouble finding any literature on it.I would particularly like to hear from anyone who has done this themselves or knows somebody who has done this. Thanx muchly .______________________________________________________________________________. | Greg Lewis | Internet:glewis@spam.ua.oz.au| | Honours Applied Maths | | | Adelaide Uni | | |_______________________________________________|______________________________| ================================================================================ Elric heard Erekose laugh bitterly."Why cannot I - we - ever be faced with a small problem,a domestic problem. Why are we forever involved with the destiny of the universe?" Corum replied just as Elric began to nod into a half-doze. "Perhaps domestic problems are worse.Who knows?" ================================================================================
