There are two books I can recommend on Ramana Maharshi. One book is
THE SPIRITUAL TEACHING OF RAMANA MAHARSHI with a Foreword by C.G. Jung
publishedby Shambhala (Boulder & London) part of The Clear Light Series.
The book consists of questions from truth seekers and the answers from
Ramana Maharshi covering all kinds of topics of spiritual sadhana - not
just the atma-vichara but other paths are discussed. The other book is
Be As You Are - THE TEACHINGS OF SRI RAMANA MAHARSHI edited by David
Godman published by Arkana (london,Boston,Melbourne, and Henly). David
Godman is a student of Sri Ramana and is the librarian of Sri Ramana's
ashram and a former editor of The Mountain Path, a journal which propagates
the teachings of Sri Ramana. This book is quite excellent - its like the
book mentioned above with the edition of explanatory or introductory
comments from the editor at the beginning of each chapter (each chapter
covering a particular spiritual topic). The comments are quite informative
but tend to be less generous than Sri Ramana himself of other spiritual
paths such as Raja Yoga.
