             SIN3 is a negative regulator of HO expression.  sin3- was isolated
             as a suppressor of SWI5, permitting HO expression in a swi5-
             mutant.  The normal asymmetric pattern of of HO expression is
             altered in sin3- mutants.  Homozygous sin3- diploids are
             sporulation defective.  The SIN3 protein is nuclear localized.
             The predicted SIN3 protein contains four copies of a paired
             amphipathic helix motif similar to those seen in the TPR proteins
             (SSN6, CDC16, CDC23, SKI3, and nuc2) and the HLH proteins
             (myc, myoD, etc).
