[net.bugs.4bsd] problems compiling lisp?

chuqui@nsc.UUCP (Chuq Von Rospach) (08/29/85)

I've been trying to get the lisp stuff in /usr/src/ucb/lisp to recompile,
and I can't seem to get it running. I'm working with the standard
distribution from BRL, but I've checked with our original 4.2 distribution
and it doesn't seem to want to recompile, either. Has anyone else out there
seen this problem?

When I do a 'make slow' it bombs out with a "bad car to arg" error when
trying to rebuild snlisp in franz. When I try to rebuild with 'make
fast' I get told that common0.o isn't in the new fasl setup. Either
way, it means I currently have a lisp system that I can't recompile,
which bothers me. Anyone have any pointers on fixing this up?
