            The heat shock proteins are encoded by large multigene families.
            There are about thirteen small heat shock proteins in the family
            described in [1].  They are found at locus 67B and are closely
            linked, suggesting that they have a common origin and arose by gene
            duplication and inversion events.  There also are multiple cross-
            homologies in the 5' flanking regions of these genes.
            
            Potential heat shock consensus elements are located at positions
            363-377, 804-818 and 814-828.
