I assume your local accounts are correct as to dates, locations, etc. on Doonesbury meeting the footlights. The show is a musical, music by Elizabeth Swados, book by GBT, both of whom are closely involved with the show. No reports yet on how it looks, I don't know if it's even in previews yet. Myself, I'm skeptical about it. When was the last time a successful show was created from a satirical comic strip? ("Dogpatch" only proved that Al Capp's creations worked better on paper than the boards.) But I'm ready to be surprised. Look for reviews next Friday. According to the Eastern Airlines 'Review' (Airline mag), Doonesbury was to premier around the middle of October in Washington, D.C. Don't quote me, but I believe the date was October 11. -- The MAD Programmer -- 919-228-3814 (Cornet 291) alias: Curtis Jackson ...![ floyd clyde ihnp4 mhuxv ]!burl!rcj
