COMMENT For an overview of the musigdjc loci see the first paragraph of

The secreted and membrane-bound tails of igd are encoded by a
single mRNA transcript and are expressed by alternative mRNA
processing pathways. Ivs c of the sites table may be terminated at
any one of three locations. proceeding 5' to 3', the first
termination point used is at exon delta-s (exon4s of the sites
table), which is the secreted tail. The second splice point is
putative and may code for a second secreted tail, delta-x (exon4x
in the sites table). That this exon is expressed is suggested by
dot blots of spleen rna ([Nature 296, 410-415 (1982)]). Ivs c's
third possible splice point
is for the first of the two exons encoding the membrane-bound tail,
delta-m1 (exon 4m of the sites table). In addition to the
alternative splicing for ivs c, there may also be alternative
processing for the 3' untranslated region since two
polyadenylation
signals (aataaa) are found 3' to the termination of the
membrane-bound tail. For the other c-delta exons see musigdjc14,
