            See segment 1. [Eur. J. Biochem. 70, 471-482 (1976)] shows the
            almost complete sequence of a region
            of the 23S rRNA containing the L1 protein binding site, and
            suggests possible secondary structure models. The sequence is 175
            bp in length. [Eur. J. Biochem. 70, 471-482 (1976)] proposes that
            it is located between the 550th and
            1000th nucleotide at the 3' end of the 23S RNA. Comparison between
            [Eur. J. Biochem. 70, 471-482 (1976)] and [FEBS Lett. 107, 177-181
            (1979)] sequence data, however, shows very little homology, the
            most homologous region being between bases 63 and 102 of this
            segment. Given sequence is that of [FEBS Lett. 107, 177-181 (1979)]
