COMMENT     The flightless mutant strain Ifm(3)3 was derived from Canton-S
            stock after males were fed ethyl methanesulfonate.  Ifm(3)3 lacks
            the embryonic isoform (#129) of tropomyosin I, but contains normal
            amounts of the thorax isoform (#127).   The tropomyosin I gene is
            located in the 88f subdivision of chromosome 3 [Cell 41, 57-66
            (1985)].
            The 8.8 kb transposon that has disrupted the transcritpion of this
            gene is present in six highly conserved copies in Canton-S strain
            [Cell 41, 57-66 (1985)].
