I work for AT&T Bell Laboratories in Naperville, Illinois. The laboratory I work in has an affirmative action outreach program to Lucy Flower High School in Chicago. For the current school year, one part of our program will be to familiarize the faculty with how computers can help the faculty in their jobs, and how computers can help their students. The high school has several IBM-PC/AT&T 6300 compatible PC's. Are you familiar with any general education software packages that run on PC's, or do you have pointers to the sources of such information? Are you aware of any word processing and spreadsheet software packages that run on PC's and are easy to learn/use/demo? Finally, do have any suggestions for computer science introductory texts, or are you aware of any handy summary sheets of computer science terms that are defined using non-technical language? Thanks in advance for taking the time to read and respond to this query. Bill Opdyke AT&T Bell Laboratories ..ihnp4!ihwpt!opdyke
