-------------------- Another universal saying (everyone thinks it's original who lives there). I've heard of Oregon, parts of California, Western Massachusetts, and Long Island, New York refered to as "God's Country" by the natives in those various places. -- Walt Tucker Tektronix, Inc. #R:nbires:-25500:uicsl:5400039:000:519 uicsl!preece Nov 14 14:16:00 1983 there is a saying in colorado: "if you don't like the weather, just wait a minute" ---------- I think this is a universal characterization. Every place I've lived in the United States I have heard exactly this expression, always with the same lead-in "We've got a saying in {New England, Downstate Illinois, ...}" NO, this is NOT a survey. Don't tell me you've heard the same thing. It's just a curiosity. I'm sure there are a bunch of these universal perceptions; I wonder if something like DARE deals with this.
