Date: Fri, 28 Jun 91 17:44:56 EDT From: "Bernardo M. Ferdman" <BMF13%ALBNYVM1@UACSC2.ALBANY.EDU> I just saw your reposting re communication with Eastern Europe, in which you said you are actively seeking scholars from that area for the PSYCOLOQUY editorial board. Communication channels to other areas, such as Latin America, are also opening up in the last few months and will continue to do so in the future. Perhaps you would like to include people from that area of the world on the editorial board as well. Also, people in Latin American may very well be interested in subscribing to PSYCOLOQUY. I coordinate a list for psychologists throughout the Americas (IAPSY-L@ALBNYVM1) as part of SIPNET (associated with the Sociedad Interamerican de Psicologia, the Interamerican Psychological Society). Perhaps you would like to send a message to our list describing PSYCOLOQUY and inviting participation from its subscribers. Also, if you are interested in recruiting people for the editorial board, I would be happy to help identify appropriate individuals. Related to this, I will be attending the Interamerican Congress of Psychology in Costa Rica, beginning on July 7th, where I will be chairing a roundtable on electronic networks and their relevance for psychologists in the Americas. Perhaps you would like to send me something I could print and hand out about PSYCOLOQUY. Also, it would be an opportunity to assess interest in the editorial board. I look forward to hearing from you. Keep up the good work. Bernardo M. I most certainly wish to take advantage of the improving network connections with Latin America as well. I will send more information about PSYCOLOQUY (for your list and for your conference) by email. Candidates for the Editorial Board should send me their CVs at the following address: Stevan Harnad Editor, PSYCOLOQUY Department of Psychology Princeton University Princeton NJ 08544 In particular, I hope you will send me your own CV. It would be very helpful if you could serve as a mediator in establishing a strong representation of Latin American biobehavioral scientists on the PSYCOLOQUY Editorial Board. Best wishes, Stevan Harnad
