I have a question about the X.25 provided with Cisco systems: Is the switching of X.25 that cisco boxes can do full level 3 switching, or merely level 2 ? i.e.: - Do the fragment and fill pakets ? - Do they run the paket layer sliding window protocol, or somply "pass through" the layer 3 pakets ?? - Do they change call request and confirmation pakets according to different trunk parameters ? Any help welcome (when i look into my news system and see how unstable it is currently, i would prefer e-mail). -- Toerless Eckert Internet: eckert@informatik.uni-erlangen.de X.400: /C=de/A=dbp/P=uni-erlangen/OU=informatik/S=eckert/

I've already sent this article to the newsgroup, but discovered afterwards, that the group is gatewayed only one way into the mailing list. Obviously i find this rather annoying, so here is my question again to the mailing list, which i am not a member of. --- I have a question about the X.25 provided with Cisco systems: Is the switching of X.25 that cisco boxes can do full level 3 switching, or merely level 2 ? i.e.: - Do the fragment and fill pakets ? - Do they run the paket layer sliding window protocol, or somply "pass through" the layer 3 pakets ?? - Do they change call request and confirmation pakets according to different trunk parameters ?
