Hello, We are contemplating the acquisition of a cisco router for the purpose of routing IP and IPX packets between an Ethernet and a Token-Ring. My management types would be a little happier if they were to hear of other sites that are already doing this and are happy with the results. Specifically, we would like to know if anyone out there is using such a router to allow Token-Ring connected PC-like machines to use tn3270 to access an Ethernet connected VM system that is running IBM's TCP/IP for VM product. At the same time we would be routing Novell packets between Ethernet connected clients and Token-Ring connected servers. Are people already doing this and are the results satisfactory? You should probably respond to me directly and I'll post a summary to the list in a couple of days time.
