Learned routes will age out it takes 240 or so seconds.

In pre-8.2 there are only to ways two get rid of static/connected
routes remove each expilictly (no novell ect..) or turn off
routing and reboot the box.

In 8.2 static and connected routes will be removed if the interface they
are using goes down and stays down.

You will have to reenter any static routes you had to make this
change.
