Dear cisco: According to the chatter on other newsgroups (especially the Macintosh communications group), some bright soul at cicso has modified NCSA Telnet 2.3 for the Macintosh to do SLIP. Is this true? If so, would that person or an associate please post the diffs to the NCSA source to comp.sources.mac, or post the modified application on comp.binaries.mac, or simply mail the delightful beast to me? This could be a very handy tool for testing SLIP (and possibly PPP?) implementations. A version of NCSA Telnet 2.3 with SLIP can be obtained from ftp.cisco.com (131.108.1.27). It also contains a BOOTP and BYU's FTP client interface. The README file contains instructions on how to access the necessary files. Note that this version of NCSA Telnet is distributed in binary form only and is supplied as is without any warranty or support. Greg
