[comp.dcom.sys.cisco] more on Cisco customer relations

Admittedly, this is a small sample to guage a company by, but my luck
in getting things from Cisco has been bad lately. I spent several days
calling the Menlo Park number (not the 800 number) listed in the front
of the manual leaving messages and never getting my calls returned.

After getting fed up with this, I sent mail to cs@cisco.com and
promptly recieved both a phone call and email. I was also informed
that the 800 number was really the number that should have been
called. Anyway, I finally got the info I needed to order another
ethernet connector for an AGS and had a PO FAXed to them asking for Fed
Ex. delivery (we need this ASAP).

This seemed to have been lost and I believe another one was sent.
After further prodding, we found out that they were changing their
orders computer system (shades of Sun here) and all orders were on
hold. Now, the order system is running and our order is in, but it
still hasn't shipped.

To be fair, this is really the first time I've had to deal with Cisco
so I don't have any other data points to judge by. However, this
doesn't get rid of the bad experience I've had so far.
