Gentle people, I have a problem with some XNS router causing Intergraph systems to loose their clearinghouse information (something they can not live without). We seem to have traced the problem to what we think is routing information the Intergraphs are getting from XNS routers, probably Novell Netware routers. We would like to put an anylizer on the network and trap for the XNS routing packets and see if that is wat is causing the problem for sure and then give that to Intergraph for them to fix. Now my question. Where can I find information on that these XNS packets look like? Any help will be appreciated. Rich Messinger Eastman Kodak

XNS packets are documented in a Xerox document #028112, name Internet Transport Protocols, Dec 1981. I believe that you can order it from: Xerox Corp Office Products Div Network Systems Admin Office. 3333 Coyote Hills Road Palo Alto, CA 94304 However Novell uses thier own form of XNS and the packets are slightly differant. You might try your local Novell dealer, or you could try writing to Novell. THe address for them is: Novell, Inc. 122 East 1700 South P.O. Box 5900 Provo, Utah 84601 Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Prehaps someone else will have more detailed info for you. -vicki
