Occasionally, we deal with network problems where we need to find the location of a given ethernet device on one of our many ethernet subnets. I managed to get CMU's SNMP to query our Cisco ARP tables, this gets quite a few addresses and their cooresponding IP or Appletalk addresses; however, this only gets IP and Appletalk. I think more address locations could be obtained if the bridge tables could be retrieved by SNMP. I'd appreciate suggestions on how to get the bridge tables using SNMP. Thanks in advance, Greg Hollingsworth gregh@mailer.jhuapl.edu
