Good to know, thanks.  I've just unwrapped our AGS+ and, as it
happens, also found some sort of MEC6 problem.  When port 0 is
connected to a transceiver the transceiver power light doesn't
light.  Connecting a loopback plug power is restored after about
a minute but is lost again as soon as a tranceiver is plugged
in.  All the other Ethernet ports are fine; any thorts?

PS I beginning to think this guy may have to go in the computer
   room, otherwise we'll get an order of magnitude more noise
   in our comms room.  No doubt its been said before, it'd be
   useful if the environmental monitor varied the fan speed
   to match the temperature.  Has anyone experimented with socks?
