Should it be possible to use an AGS+ (with CSC/3 processor) running 8.2(3) as a TFTP-server for another AGS+ (with CSC/3 processor) that was running 8.1(21), so that the latter is running 8.2(3)? It seem to commence the system load OK, but after a short time the console only displays periods and eventually the load times out. Yes, it should work. I had someone doing that just yesterday. on the 8.2 system tftp-server system cisco2-csc3 on the target system move the config register 0 poistion to the left one position. Make sure jumper 9 is removed, this controls the use of boot-csc2 which is not needed on a csc/3. You can use boot system command on the target to direct the tftp request directly to the source cisco. If you still have this problem I'd be interested in a seeing a packet trace.
