Hi Cisco-gurus, we have a strange problem: Two AGS+ 8.2(3) with FDDI, connected on a dual ring to three multibridges (1 FDDI/2 Eth) from AT&T (translation bridges). The AGS's don't have bridging software, yet. Protocols on the net are: Novell (802.3 & Ethernet II) TCP/IP LAT, LAVC, DECnet OSI TP4 (AT&T LM/X) As soon as we plug in the AGS's into the FDDI-ring, the two ciscos start complaining about `unknown packet type [the packet header in hex]`. AT&T says, that this might be a Novell-Problem. They had a similar experience, when they switched all Netware traffic over to Ethernet II (8137), the messages disappeared. Did somebody in ciscoland have similar experiences, or even better, does somebody know the solution to it? (No, we don`t want to change all our PC's to 8137!) Pls email me, I will post a summary (if anybody is interested in this, at all) Rgds Rainer --- Rainer Raupach Internet: rainer@hwsw.gedas.de Network Coordinator X.400: S=RAUPACH C=DE A=DBP P=VW-GEDAS VW-GEDAS Berlin, GER Phone: +49 30 39007-629 / FAX : ext -999
