As I recall, cisco used to support an undocumented command which permitted the encapsulation of X.25 packets into IP datagrams for transport over an internetwork. Is this command still supported, and if so, what is its syntax ? Thanks, Michael R. Brown The MITRE Corporation Bedford, MA 01730

Is this command still supported, and if so, what is its syntax ? The command is documented. Only the protocol is undocumented. As long as you have a cisco on either side of the IP Internetwork, you will be able to get it to work just fine (and it is a standard feature of the X.25 support in the cisco routers.) See the manual section on "x25 routing" or maybe "x25 switching". Bill Westfield cisco Systems. -------

One more minor point: the protocol is undocumented, mostly because we
didn't think it was worth the effort to document it in a form suitable for
external usage. We don't consider it profound or proprietary, we just
haven't documented it. Some folks in France started to document it with
us, but lost interest.
