Routes:
Gateway of last resort is 128.167.35.1 to network 192.80.214.0

I*Net 129.140.0.0 [100/18476] via 128.167.35.1, 87 sec, 9571 uses, Serial2
I*Net 192.80.214.0 [100/8576] via 128.167.35.1, 87 sec, 9326 uses, Serial2
R*Net 128.198.0.0 [120/4] via 131.131.10.18, 14 sec, 0 uses, Ethernet3
The entry that is not visible:
[R*Net 129.140.0.0 [120/6] via 131.131.10.18, ....., Ethernet3]

Default network list:
ip default-network 129.140.0.0
ip default-network 192.80.214.0
ip default-network 128.198.0.0

129.140.0.0 is the desired default net, because we have two routes to
it. this will allow us fast switch-over in case of a failure in our
primary link.

It appears the router is using the lowest cost route in the default-net
list, reguardless of list order.
What we want is the lowest cost route for the first entry in the
default-net list.
THe Manual for 8.1 says "The system will periodically scan its routing table
to choose the optimal default network as its default route."
I take this to mean the router is behaving the way it should.
Is the only way to get it the way I want it, to artificially bump up
the route to 192.80.214?
Enquiring minds want to know.
