The DG/1 is one of the original IBM-PC-compatible 'laptop' computers. Mine has 464K of usable RAM (some of the 512K is apparently used for screen buffers), 2 720K floppies, Nicad pack, battery charger, AC adapter, soft case (great condition), and serial port. It comes with a built in 'terminal' (ADM3A emulator) and 'notebook' program, runs standard MS/DOS and has a pretty good keyboard. On the down side, it has no hard-disk or modem (although you can add one internally, they're probably hard to find now), the screen is LCD, not backlit and it weighs about 8lbs. I'll throw in the original DOS and MS/WORD disks, the MS/WORD manuals (sorry, lost the DOS manuals) and a copy of PC/Liaison (a program and cable that lets you attach the DG/1 to another PC and use the 2nd PCs disks 'transparently'. Nice thing when 3 1/2 floppies were rare, good for moving lots of data. Connection is 19.2Kb via serial port...) If you'd like, you can also have my copy of the Manx C compiler and 'Unix' utilities, including a cross compiler for Z80 code. Yes, I know that's not really an incentive..... Asking $300, but realistic about my chances of getting it. Bob Jacobsen 415-852-9543 (h) or 415-926-3133 (w) JACOBSEN AT SLACVM JACOBSEN@SLACVM.SLAC.STANFORD.EDU
