Help. I just was given a Altos 586 computer, (Don't snicker, I know it is old), But I need the Development system for it. I have the Xenix 3.1a runtime system, and what I though was the Xenix 3.0 development system. But It seems like I am missing the most important parts of the development system. Namely the C compiler, the assembler, the linker and the libraries. It seems by the manuals that there should of been 11 disks in the development system, But I got only 7 of them. I have not tried to call Altos, to see what they say about getting the development package, but If they have it, it would most likly be expensive. I would be interested in getting just the disk's or both the disk and the manuals. Or if really had to I would be interested in the whole system if it was not too much. If anyone out in net land has a development they would like to sell (or something ) I would be greatful. Please responde by MAIL, as I do not think the rest of the net would be interested.
