[ba.market.computers] 1.2 Gig SCSI Drive Group Purchase

ericz@ucscb.ucsc.edu (Eric Zamost) (05/21/91)

Sorry if this article is repeated - I think it didn't get out earlier.

I am arranging a quantity purchase of 1.2 Gig SCSI drives. Since
the previous net purchase of 330 Meg Wren IV's worked well, they
trusted that we would buy enough to warrant the price break.

Call Integrated Component Supply at 805-257-6900, talk to Tom
Justice, and tell him that you are part of the internet group
purchase. I'd appreciate it if you could send me a brief summary
of your experience, as the information will help if I arrange
another of these purchases.

Details of drives:
     Seagate Wren VII
     Model: ST41200N (identical to 94601-1200)
     Interface: SCSI
     Formatted capacity: 1050 Meg
     MTBF: 100,000
     Access Time: 15 ms
     Data Buffer: 256k
     Size: Full Height, 5.25"
     New, 1 year warranty

I.C.S. can set up the drives in cases for Macs or Suns for $200,
in a "generic" case for $100, and can Compsurf for Novell for $150.
They'll give price breaks on smaller drives as part of the group
purchase; drives are available for international shipment with
MC/Visa; their FAX number is 805-257-6919.

Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions, but please include
a phone number (in case I can't reach you through e-mail).
