              Third International Symposium on
            Programming Language Implementation
                  and Logic Programming

             26 - 28 August 1991 -- Passau, FRG

                      CALL FOR PAPERS


     The aim of the symposium is to explore new  declarative
concepts, methods and techniques relevant for implementation
of all kinds of programming languages,  whether  algorithmic
or declarative. The intention is to bring together research-
ers from the fields of  logic programming, algorithmic  pro-
gramming  languages,  functional  programming   and  object-
oriented programming. The topics include, but are  not  res-
tricted to:

	   --  declarative implementation techniques
	   --  implementation of declarative concepts and modules
           --  executable specification
           --  compiler specification and construction
           --  program transformation
           --  programming environments for declarative languages
           --  amalgamation of logic programming with algorithmic,
               functional or object-oriented programming

     Papers must be written and  presented  in  English  and
must  not   exceed  5000  words.  Submit  SIX  COPIES  of the
manuscript by March 1, 1991 to

     If possible the submission should be accompanied  by  a
100  word  abstract  sent  by  e-mail  to plilp@forwiss.uni-
passau.de. Authors will be notified of  acceptance/rejection
by  MAY  2, 1991 by e-mail (if available). Camera-ready copy
will be due JUNE 8, 1991.
