For all you folks looking to install Berkeley code, beware of a problem we have found in libc.a under Concentrix 5.5.02: syslog.o was compiled incorrectly, preventing anything that uses syslog from linking properly. We got a new libc.a last week that is supposed to have this fixed. [Aside: anybody else found nasty, panic-causing kernel bugs in 5.5.02? It seems strange that we're the only ones getting search_dir panics...] -- Kian-Tat Lim (ktl@wagvax.caltech.edu, KTL @ CITCHEM.BITNET, GEnie: K.LIM1) Perl is the Swiss Army chainsaw [of Unix programming]. -- Dave Platt's friend
