One of my job duties is to generate usage stats monthly. The results from sa does not provide the total available CPU time for a given period which should exclude the system down time. Is there a reasonable way to calculate this? One suggestion I got from Alliant CS is to add up the Idle processes time, but this does not exclude the down times and those idle processes are reset everytime the machine is rebooted. Any suggestions will be greatly appreaciated.
