For as long as I can remember, we have seen messages like the following: ip01> xmv(0x6fed00, 0): ioctl cnt low (-1.) line 9 on our console. I realize that they result from anomalous electrical conditions on one or more of the terminal lines, perhaps becuase someone didn't login out properly. What I really want is for these messages to disappear (period). I thought that upgrading to 5.6.0 might help, but alas, no. Does anyone have any suggestions for making these annoying messages go away? At the moment, we can't even leave our console printer on because of them. Please don't tell me to correct the terminal line floating voltage. In our environment, this is a near impossibility. Seems to me there *must* be a way to obliterate these messages.
