I just installed the CDev for desktop color on my gs and am intrigued. I found one possible problem: Isn't there a way for the thing to load the pallete along with the picture so the colors come out right? I am willing to sacrifice the colors on my DAs for this... Along similar lines, I just cut off AO for various reasons (one of which was that the access number locally is 1200 baud, and I now have a TB, so why poke along and get charged heavily for it when I can zip along for just LD costs?), and have no nice pics to load in. Anyone with nice pics, please mail 'em. I'll be glad to sort through the mail I get for nice shots. Preferably the Simpson's, Calvin & Hobbes, but anything will be nice. One more thing. I asked this a while ago and got no responses, so I'll ask again. I faithfully backed up my hard disk with the Backup // utility. One day the drive failed, so I got a new one and went to restore my drive, but come to find out the program is buggy and complains about a date/time stamp problem. If anyone can restore the contents of these 10 backup disks and/or tell me how to patch them so they'll go, or ANYTHING, please help me out. The contents of the drive were valuable, which is why I backed it up in the first place. :-) -- Nick Sayer - The Goose Egg public unix - 209-952-5347 (Telebit) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~+~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ quack!mrapple@uop.edu !
