Note, none of these "benchmarks" do loading and saving of large files which is where the DMA card "shines". However, it is a starting point. System Speed set to Fast Other Notes: AWGS 1.0v2 is NOT System 5.0 certified by Claris (whatever that means). When AWGS required information from the system disk, access to the hard drive resulted. Loading AWGS from a 2 floppy system would take longer than the reported times. Drive Average Access Time Look Ahead Cache CT-20 27ms 8KB CT-40 25ms 8KB CT-100 19ms 16KB Discussion of results: The main reason for the improved performance is the combination of GS/OS Multi-block read commands and the Direct Memory Access (DMA) capability of the new SCSI card. -- Yeah!
