[comp.sys.apple2] revised versions of SPOOL.CMD, DIFF.CMD, & MOVE.CMD posted

reeder@reed.UUCP (Doug Reeder) (03/19/90)

I have fixed the bug that kept these commands from working properly on
machines other than IIc's, and posted them to comp.binaries.apple2. In
addition, they now work on II+'s. They also now can use slot and drive
parameters and do not need the prefix set. To everybody who has had trouble
using the earlier versions: try these versions, as they have improved error
messages as well. If you use SPOOL.CMD, you will find the FORMAT
Basic.System external command, which breaks paragraphs into lines, very
useful. It was posted to comp.binaries.apple2 a while ago under the subect
line "Handy ProDOS Commands run under BASIC.SYSTEM" and is available in the
APPLE2-L group of the LISTSERV@BROWNVM.BITNET, among other places, I believe.
In addition, I have included the source to MOVE.CMD because Tom Weishaar
& Mark Simonsen's command relocator is a good one, able to easily handle
commands of any size and I have modified it to allow inline MLI calls. You
are welcome to use their command relocater, but you may not distribute
changed versions of my MOVE.CMD without my permission in writing.
