I just posted ShrinkIt 3.0.1, docs, and a changes file to comp.binaries.apple2. 3.0.1 fixes the following problems: ShrinkIt 3.0.1 -------------- OA-B wouldn't go to the beginning of AppleWorks files. Fixed. Fixed skip when used with .QQ files so it doesn't lock up your machine. Fixed erase... it gave an error $43 and possibly corrupted a large section of memory. You couldn't unpack more than 1 .QQ file at a time on Tom Hoover's ROM 03 IIGS. You can now. When a file was copied, if it already existed on the destination, the destination file kept its attributes. So, if you had copied over top of an $E0 file with the same name, the destination would still be $E0, even though the file image was copied properly. If the first file in a folder that was being archived was not capable of being compressed, that file and any subsequent files which wouldn't get compressed would have comments attached. The first compressable file after the uncompressed file put into the archive would also have a comment attached. If a file existed and was being extracted from a Binary II file, the destination file kept its attributes. If a file existed and was being extracted from an ACU file, the destination file's modification date was incorrect. The file's attributes were also kept if the file wasn't compressed. If a file existed and was being unsqueezed from a .QQ file, the destination file kept its attributes instead of inheriting them from the .QQ file. Evidently fixed bug which would cause archives to be written out incorrectly at seemingly random times on a few people's IIe's... Some people either got a 'pad pathname' or 'prodos error $43' when trying to extract from multiple archives like acu or binary ii. This has been fixed. andy -- Yeah!
