It seems that there are hundreds if not thousands of programs for me to download in this network, however the are all just out of reach. I am currently working on from a unix system at my University. I have no problem getting the files into my directory. Then i proced to x-modem the file to my //e at home. Then I try to unshrink it or what ever using Binary(something or another.) But it never works. However when I tried to download a file from a loacal BBS i had no problem. Do I need a Kermit program. If I do, how do I get one seeing that I can't download it from this way. My university has Kermit of IBM's and Mac's but not apple II's. WHat to do.... Lost in La. (that's Louisiana, not Los Angeles).

Are the programs that you are downloading in the BinSCII format? Meaning: Somewhere at the head of the file does it have something that looks like this: FileStartFileSTart??? If it does then you do not need kermit but need to download BinSCII first, then you may convert it to a form that Shrinkit recognizes....
