[comp.sys.apple2] Digitizing/Bose Speakers pick up sound??

Well, I'm very satisfied with my Bose speakers. The only problem
is/was that lots of software doesn't TRULY turn down the volume (does to
internal speaker but not to stereo sound)... So I got a few bucks worth
of parts at Radio Shaft and now have a volume control. It's just a potentio-
meter, basically, and connections to the stereo plugs. Really simple.

A different problem I have though is with digitizing. I can't
seem to digitize with my MDIdeas card and not get virtually ALL noise.
You can tell what you've recorded but 90% of it is noise. Any ideas from
anyone?

The disk I got with the digitizer had an I/O error on the boot
track and I couldn't even copy stuff off of it (if I don't have my
technical facts right, it's just a fact that I can't boot it and can't run
anything from the Finder and can't copy things off)... So I got a different
version from someone I know but it conflicts with what the manual I got
with mine said.. So I have been just fiddling around with the program..
Nothing's helped though.

Speaking about digitizing...I have a SonicBlaster Card and was wondering
if there are any other programs that will work with the SonicBlaster when
digitizing sound? I don't really care for the software that came with the
card and just want to know if there is an alternative.

                                        Thanks
                                          Andy

First of all.. I don't see anything wrong with the Sonic Blaster card.. it's
the best I've seen. The previous card I had was a Supersonic Digitizer..
and the software was a joke! (Besides the fact that it didn't work.)

BUT.. if you really wanted, a piece of software called Tapedeck works
on most digitizers... see if that works on the Sonic Blaster if you really
need a change. Parallax used to sell digitizer software packages (just
software).. also, I don't know if it works with SB, but they say it's
a very good software. Tapedeck, I believe, is Shareware.. at least the
beta version was. I don't know if the release version ever came out.
Hyperstudio has a digitizing software that comes with it .. SOUND SHOP,
which is very good. But it doesn't work with Sonic Blaster.
