[comp.sys.apple2] Source code postings

lwv27@CAS.BITNET (06/02/90)

In the past folks have asked where source code postings should go for the
Apple II programs that are occasionally posted. Obviously if you are
going to be posting a BINSCII'd or executioner'd version, comp.binaries.apple2
is appropriate. Another good place for plain source code, such as the
recently posted emulator/simulators, etc. would be comp-sources-misc@ucbvax.berk
which is a gateway to the usenet group comp.sources.misc . The benefit of
going to this group is a) a wider audience, b) a lot of sites archive the
programs posted to that group. In that way there would be more chance
of folks the world over getting access to your software.

comp.sources.misc has a charter to be a clearing house for plain text
source code of almost any language and for any operating system (that
does not already have its own source group).
