Hello all, I had some free time this weekend, so I packed and uploaded a few programs to comp.binaries.apple2. Crystal Quest GS (demo) - pretty good game, plays up to level 5 then quits. Sound and graphics just like versions for other machines. G.A.T.E. Demo - Demo of an upcoming Ultima-style game, with good but already-been-done graphics and a quite nice soundtrack. FTA Demo - "Pom's Revue 46" plays a song [Soundsmith "File 35", thanks pirmann@rutgers.edu for the clue] with a reasonable graphics screen. Lode Runner GS demo - Not the real game, but very close. Good sound with graphics similar to the real thing (but GS-specific). They are all GS-specific, unpackable with Binscii and Shrinkit 3.0. You know, whatever you think of the GS and its future, it's a nice position to be in to label demos such as this "reasonable" and "already-been-done"; that is, to be jaded enough not to compare these to Music Construction Set and some of the other early stuff. :) Rob Knauerhase +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Robert C.
