Pro-Generic BBS has been a Toronto base for Apple II users for quite some time and soon it will be serving it's customers like never before. Soon pro-generic will be switching to the UNIX based Pnet software for multi-line speed benefits to make the outside world seem not so outside. The Pro-Line software will remainup for the summer while the swtich over occurs. If you are from the southern ontario area, and are accessing comp.sys.apple or info-apple from your university machine which might disappear soon, please feel free to use generic/pro-generic as your link to the outside world. We have some real brains on the system who have solved some unique Apple II problems, these people include: Stephen Brown (sb) - the electrical genius, Marek Pawlowski (marekp) who with myself have been hacking a proline-unix link for quite and while, and it seems to be working quite well and well many others. Don't consider this an "advertisement", please don't consider this like that at all. I would just like to make sure that Apple II owners know there are people out there like myself who are willing to pump several thousand dollars into a computer system in order to provide Apple II owners will services that make owning an Apple II a pleasurable experience. Generic BBS - 416-237-0308 (ProLine software, 2400bps, 24hrs for now) soon - 416-XXX-XXXX (Pnet/public access unix, 9600bps, 24hrs) Metropolitan Toronto, Ontario, Canada. (Go jays...)
