In-Reply-To: message from pmgannon@athena.mit.edu Unless you are looking for GS specific programs, the communications job is more than adequately filled by Talk Is Cheap now available from Quality Software (under $50). A shareware version is usually floating around the Apple BBS's/Compuserve/Genie. Proterm is also excellent. Depends on how you like your user interface. Costs about $20 more, so TIC is the best deal for the money and has an excellent scripting language. ______________________________________________________________________________ Mike Ungerman |Proline:mikeu@pro-magic Pro-Magic BBS: 407-366-0156 |uucp:crash!pnet01!pro-magic!mikeu 300/1200/2400/9600 Baud 24hrs |arpa:crash!pnet01!pro-magic!mikeu@nosc.mil Apple Tree of Central Florida, Inc |Internet:mikeu@pro-magic.cts.com Orlando, Florida|Voice:407-366-0060|Compuserve:71326,31 Prodigy: JSNP58A

In-Reply-To: message from pmgannon@athena.mit.edu >Should I buy out of the back of magazines? Well, not necessarilly the BACKS of magazines, but yes, get your software from companies that advertise in magazines (GS+, Incider/A+, Nibble). Some of the most popular places to order from are Programs Plus, Roger Coats, Preferred computing, and several others. You'll find all of them in most of those magazines. The prices from these places are about HALF of what you would find in a Software retail store (If they had it at all). ---------------------------- | mquinn@pro-gsplus.cts.com | | Artist GS+ Magazine | ----------------------------
