I am having a problem getting a serial daisywheel printer to work with an old AppleIIe system we have been given. I have got the interface basically working as the 'Open apple/P' command does produce a screen dump. However using the normal print commands from within Appleworks just produces garbage like the printer is at the wrong speed or something. There is another symptom, the screen dump contains a few extra CR's which mess up the formatting, I would guess they are every 256 characters or so. The printer is an NEC Spinwriter. Has anyone seen these symptoms before and/or does anyone have any bright ideas as to what I should do to make it work.
