There was a posting recently about putting the contents of six DOS 3.3 disks on a 3 1/2 disk. Here's something that you might like to look into. When I bought my meg of ram from AE they included software to configure the /ram card into DOS 3.3 partitions. It works great and programs really fly, especially with an accelerator. The program can't be copy-protected of course and even some non-copyprotected programs have problems. For instance, FONT-TRIX is great when you run it this way. Instead of the interminable wait during disk access you can go from module to module instantly. On the other hand, fonts and graphics are loaded "illegally" and have to be accessed from the floppies. I don't know if there is software available to configure your GS memory into DOS partitions or not. I'm using a //c so I thought that by posting this reply we might get follow-ups from some GS users who have ran DOS 3.3 from their GS's. ******************************************************************** * * * bob church bchurch@oucsace.cs.ohiou.edu * * * * If economics isn't an "exact" science why do computers crash * * so much more often than the stock market? * * bc * ********************************************************************
