Question. Why does my modem (1200 bps) seem so fast now that I've switched from a //e to a IIgs? It speeds up displayed text, but not file x-fer. ________________________ _________________________ | ProLine: crew@pro-harvest | | Internet: crew@pro-harvest.cts.com | | UUCP: crash!pro-harvest!crew | | ARPA: crash!pro-harvest!crew@nosc.mil | |_______________ BITNET: crew%pro-harvest.cts.com@nosc.mil _________________|

It speeds up displayed text, but not file x-fer. Printing charaters to the screen is very time consuming and slows down the //e but not the IIgs but when downloading no charaters are printed so both machines can keep up.
