My SCSI cable is not keyed and I plugged it in upside down for the first tests. I have the OEM manual, but it does not mention any micro-fuses and I'll bet I blew one. Does anybody have a refernce on the Maxtor 8760 that shows where the microfuse(s) is/are? I'd like to know more about this too. While trying to clone his SCSI we seem to have nuked something. Without either terminator installed, the drive will power-up, but won't come online. With either installed the drive power light comes on, but the drive doesn't even attempt to spin up. This made sense to us with in incorrectly wired SCSI terminator, but why is it doing it now to his good one? Thanks, ------- Mike UD182050@NDSUVM1 (.Bitnet?) My SCSI problemes were resolved with 2 fixes. I jumpered the drive to supply term power to the bus and then changed SCSI ID to 0. The manual has recommended 6. I tried 6 and 1 which both fail to see the drive. ID 0 works. And yes I have 20 32M paritions. I am thinking about removing the last 15 or 16 until I need them, so screen painting won't take so long (at least until I get my TWGS, next week)... -- Max Heffler internet: max@lgc.com Landmark Graphics Corp. uucp: ..!uunet!lgc!max 333 Cypress Run, Suite 100 phone: (713) 579-4751 Houston, Texas 77094
