I have a suggestion out there for all of the real programmers! (grin) Have you noticed that the majority of the programs out for the public domain...(Communications that is....)...Appler are terminal programs... What is needed is some BBS systems...Short, small, big, great, dinky, whatever....Message bases only, file up/downloads only, both, trivial, ANYTHING is possible...Even some games like the pyroto mountainn for thje IBM...I don't know if I'm the only one that would like to see this, but it would be nice! Readl Nice...Great as the fact holds! I have anything that one would want when it comes to terminal programs, Apple needs some PD bbs.s...One drive, two drive, memory based, just let your minds go wild...ANYTHING GO's... If anyone would like to take this idea to heart and try it out, send me mail, and I'll give some good idea's, or better yet, everyone here that would like to see some of this happening...Post a little more about it! Thanx a lot! -- Pictures/Apple 2 archiver at 128.163.128.6 (f.ms.uky.edu) risner@ms.uky.edu "Here, take this quarter and go downstairs to have a rat GNAW that thing off your face." - John Candy

In-Reply-To: message from risner@ms.uky.edu Well, there are plenty of Apple BBSes. Pro-Line, GBBS, RBBS, SBBS, ProTree, Magic City Micro, FidoNet, and at least 5 others I can't remember the names to. Your trick is finding them. Oh yeah, WBBS. UUCP: crash!pro-grouch!rond ARPA: crash!pro-grouch!rond@nosc.mil INET: rond@pro-grouch.cts.com

In-Reply-To: message from jschober@gnh-starport.cts.com > Uhhh, FidoNet and RBBS running on the Apple II?? Where've you seen > THAT?? Or Like the FidoNet, that's a different RBBS. I guess with only 26 letters, they're bound to conflict eventually! The RBBS I was referrring to is a DOS 3.3 one called RapidBBS or something like that.
