The serial port on a //c is a 5 pin DIN connector and the standard
modem is a 25 pin RS-232. When I asked different people which
5 pins on the 25 connectors to use and what the pin out of the //c
serial DIN is (ie. which pins of the 5 pins on the DIN should each
of the 5 chosen pins from the 25 pin RS-232 connect to), I was
told an array of different layouts. And they all seem to work.
But I seem to be having problems my PR#2 applesoft program, I thought
I better find out what the right way of doing things are.
Is there a standard for which of the 5 pins on the RS-232 the 5 pins
on the DIN should connect to? If not, which is the best combination
which works in most cases?
Thank you in advance.
Thomas.
