Apple Australia are putting on a special roadshow before a PC show in Melbourne. After a lot of work by GS owners in the local users group they are supposed to be showing things like the Star Wars demo, maybe SythLab. This was described as the last chance for any Apple Australia - GS interaction in Melbourne. At any rate at the last meeting the president of our club contacted one of the GS sig leaders, he said that Apple Australia did not have a GS available and could someone from our club bring one along!! I don't know whether this is true or if the club president (a Mac owner) was having a joke. However it is a comment on Apple Australia that everyone believed that it was true when they heard it. A number of suggestions were made ranging from taking up a collection to offers to supply a GS if they could keep the DMA SCSI card and hard disk. It looks possible that Apple Australia may be going the way of a number of other Apple subsidiaries and moving out of the II line. I hope it is not true. -- Stephen Harker Monash University
